Trailseeker Series (SA XCM Champs) results: Arno du Toit wins second GP leg
Arno du Toit won the second leg of Gauteng’s Trailseeker Series at Buffelsdrift Mountain Bike Park in Pretoria today.
The 26-year-old Durbanville local completed the 85km event, which also incorporated the SA XCM Championships, in 3:02:36 to beat Jan Withaar (3:02:36) and Philip Buys (3:02:40).
“SA champs is the one race everyone wants to win, so needless to say it’s a massive result for me and I’m so so happy that all the prep and hard work came together for me on the day.
“I knew the route suited my riding style and I’ve won a Trailseeker there before, so motivation was high and the goal was to get on that top step.”
